Hi, My Name is Dragon, and This is My Website.
I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil. Aside from the occasional drawing class and coaching from my talented mother, I've received little formal art training. Over the years I've tried my hand at painting, tattooing, and sculpture, but cartooning has been the constant, mostly in the form of expressive doodles in my journals.
I got off on the wrong track for a while, trying to be a too-serious painter. I filled a few canvases with expressions of my hurt, anger and pain that no one wanted over their couch. I agonized and tore my hair out over these paintings, until eventually, I became happy and didn't know what to paint anymore.
Now, with the emergence of comics as a somewhat respected art form, I've been inspired to give my doodle friends voices and let stories develop.
My main inspirations are my stuffed animal friends and love of horror flix. I love to turn over convention, expose the villainy of traditional heros, make winners of the losers and friends of freaks. I'm a procrastinator, but will never quit, so keep checking in on me. I never let the site go too long without at least a fresh set of doodles.
